The summer holidays mean only one thing for me and my family. We throw our skimpiest outfits into suitcases and trundle off to the airport in search of sun.
This year took us to the Algarve in Portugal, Carvoeiro to be precise.
We checked into our hotel, threw on our bikinis and hunted out the most secluded swimming pool.
We stumbled upon the ‘Sea View Pool’, which did exactly as it said on the tin, boasting this beautiful view at the end of my tootsies.
And I preeeeetty much stayed in this exact spot for ten days straight.
Escaping only for some refreshing goodies from the comfort of our balcony.
We stayed in the Rocha Brava apartment complex, which was a beautiful area priding itself on luscious green gardens and beauty everywhere you looked.
Our days pretty much repeated themselves, consisting of croissants on the balcony, sunbathing by the pool, a lunch of cured meats, breads, olives and gallons of fanta, some more sunbathing and a dip in the pool, then back to the hotel to get ready for dinner
We toured through all the local restaurants enjoying a ten day grub crawl, enjoying all the local dishes from tapas to piri piri chicken
Before landing back to reality with a bump, already lusting over where the next summer will take us..
